Club Policies & Guidelines

Railwood Golf Club maintains a set of clear, consistent standards so that every golfer — whether a first-time visitor or a long-standing member — enjoys the same quality experience on the course and in the clubhouse. These policies are not meant to restrict your enjoyment; they exist to protect it. When everyone plays by the same standards, the course stays in better shape, rounds move at a comfortable pace, and the atmosphere remains welcoming for all.

Below you will find our guidelines covering on-course conduct, pace of play, cart and course care rules, dress code and behavior expectations, and tee time reservation and cancellation policies. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to seeing you on the fairways.

On-Course Rules

Clubhouse & Amenities

Our clubhouse is here to make your day at Railwood comfortable and enjoyable.

  • The clubhouse features a pro shop, snack bar, and drink bar.
  • Guests can enjoy our outdoor deck overlooking Holes 9 and 18.
  • All food and beverages must be purchased at the clubhouse.
  • Outside coolers are not permitted.
  • Outside alcohol is not permitted.
  • All alcoholic beverages must be purchased in the clubhouse and consumed in accordance with course policies.

Pace of Play

We appreciate every golfer’s help in keeping play moving smoothly for all groups on the course.

  • A round at Railwood Golf Club typically takes approximately 4 hours.
  • All groups are expected to maintain a reasonable pace of play.
  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your tee time to allow time for check-in.
  • Singles, twosomes, and threesomes may be paired with other players whenever possible at the discretion of Railwood Golf Club staff.
  • Singles, twosomes, and threesomes should not expect to play through foursomes that are keeping pace.
  • Foursomes have the right of way when they are playing on pace.
  • Groups larger than a foursome are not permitted to play together.
  • All players must have their own set of clubs. Rental sets are available at the clubhouse.
  • Starting on Hole 10 is not permitted without clubhouse approval.

Tee Times, Walk-Ins & Group Play

To help keep the course organized and enjoyable for everyone, tee time policies are followed throughout the day.

  • Walk-ins are welcome.
  • Scheduled tee times take priority over walk-in play.
  • Walk-in players will be assigned the next available tee time.
  • Singles are not permitted before 12:00 PM on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
  • Riders are allowed for a fee, but not before 2:00 PM on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
  • Pairings may be made at the discretion of Railwood Golf Club staff to help maintain pace of play.

Golf Cart Rental Policy

Golf carts are available for rental and must be used safely and responsibly at all times.

  • A valid driver’s license is required to rent or operate a golf cart.
  • A maximum of two people are allowed per cart.
  • Carts must be driven safely and with caution based on current course conditions.
  • Please avoid wet areas, rough terrain, and any areas where carts may damage the course.
  • Around greens and tee boxes, carts must remain on cart paths only.
  • The cart renter is financially responsible for any damage caused to the cart or course due to unsafe or reckless driving.

Dress Code

Railwood Golf Club maintains a relaxed, family-friendly dress code while still encouraging appropriate golf attire.

  • Collared shirts are preferred, but not required.
  • Regular-length shorts or slacks are recommended.
  • Jeans are permitted as long as they are clean, presentable, and free of holes.
  • Cutoff shorts are not permitted.
  • Sleeveless shirts, tank tops, and T-shirts with large logos, images, or graphics are not permitted.
  • Guests are encouraged to dress comfortably while keeping attire appropriate for a golf course setting.
